This footage is part of the U.S. government's first declassified UAP archive, released on May 8, 2026 at war.gov/UFO. It follows a February 2026 presidential directive ordering federal agencies, including the FBI, NASA, the State Department, and U.S. military commands, to declassify and publish their UAP records for the American public.
Sighting Summary: A 2013 U.S. Central Command submission to the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) describes a 1 minute 46 second infrared video from a U.S. military platform. No additional narrative or written account was provided by the original reporter.
The footage shows an area of contrast resembling an eight-pointed star shape with uneven, alternating-length arms. It is being referred to as a chandelier online. At approximately 10 seconds, the sensor narrows its field of view to zoom in on the object. From about 11 to 29 seconds, the feature moves within the frame and appears to leave a visible trailing effect. At around 30 seconds, it exits the field of view at the lower right.
After an apparent cut at roughly 35 seconds, the object reappears within the sensor view and remains generally visible until the end of the recording, eventually exiting near the upper-left portion of the frame at about 1 minute 44 seconds.
