I was a police officer on duty patrolling a section of road that ran along the Bay of Islands outside corner brook I saw a red light on the water and thought why would somebody be in a boat this late at night this light was very close to the Papermill in corner brook. I watched it for a couple of minutes and then this red orb lifted off the water and travel to the end of the Bay of Islands approximately 50 miles in less than one second
